Owls!
Hogwarts Owls, to be precise.
Harry Potter was an inevitable letter to occur. Even if we have already devoted an entire menu to the series, it could never be enough.
I can't think of anything more Halloween-y than Harry Potter. At least, that's my imagined perfect Halloween. A feast in the Great Hall of Hogwarts.
Fall is coming just in time.
Ha, and not just because I am having a fall themed wedding in 3 days.
Because how beautiful is fall? And how fun are Owls? And magic? It all seems like it should go together. The chill in the air, the changing leaves...
Hogwarts has to be beautiful in the fall. Magical castles are that way I suppose, ha.
I love to read the books in the fall and then in the holidays. Magical time of year for a magical series.
Always wished as a kid to have an owl show up, ha.
Even if I had to battle a troll in the bathrooms, I think most all of you can agree that it'd be well worth it.
Sadly, no letters or owls ever appeared.
Owls were made with turned yellow M&M beaks, split Oreo cookie eyes (with brown M&M pupils) and then piped feathers.
Letters were made with rolled fondant and then painted food dye details.
Tried to make them look as authentic as possible.
Particular fan of the lil seals.
After the honeymoon, first thing on the read list is the entire series for the 100th time.
Happy fall :)
